Venue. Dress. Flowers. Hair. Makeup. Catering. Shoes.

That list keeps getting longer and longer and everything needs to be done so far in advance. Many brides think about their makeup but don’t think about their Wedding Day Skin until the week before their wedding. Want a little advice? Prioritize skin over makeup. Your makeup artist is a pro and will make sure your makeup is perfect on your special day, but nothing makes you feel more confident than smooth, glowing skin.

And… smooth, glowing skin takes time.

Find a licensed esthetician with a lot of experience and a great reputation to evaluate your skin 9 -12 months before your big day. Wedding Day Skin is a journey.

It doesn’t matter how old you are (I’m talking to the brides AND the moms!!) Hydrated, smooth, and glowing skin is key. Here is your reference guide to get the skin of your dreams:

  1. Book an appointment for a full skin evaluation and ask for a treatment plan. Be clear about your concerns and what you would like
to achieve.

  2. Make your appointments in advance (just like your other vendors).

  3. Let your esthetician know what skincare you currently use. They may make recommendations for skincare that will better suit your needs.

    • Dermaplaning safely exfoliates your skin AND removes that annoying, fine hair that can show up as shadows on your face.

    • If your facial or body hair is dark, consider waxing, laser, or IPL to safely remove or permanently reduce hair on your face, underarms, legs and bikini area.

• Do you hold stress in your face? Try a Buccal Facial. It’s extremely relaxing and can help contour your face, eliminate toxins, and reduce puffiness.

    • Do you have brown spots (hyperpigmentation) on your face, neck, arms and hands? Try a series of chemical peels or an IPL treatment.

    • Microneedling or Micro channeling can smooth out your skin, so your pores are invisible and looks like GLASS.

    • Needles not your thing? Ask for Liquid Microneedling. Similar results and no needles.

    • Do you have a tendency to break out, or are you acne prone? There are so many treatments that can help eliminate (or greatly reduce) acne before your wedding. It can take months to get it under control so make your first appointment soon.

    • Avoid foods that are known to cause irritation, redness, or allergies. Dairy has been shown to cause tummy issues and breakouts. Spicy foods and too much alcohol can turn skin that tends to be a little red into cranky skin that can take weeks to calm down.

Find a professional that listens to your wants and needs. We are out here and truly WANT to help you have the most amazing wedding…Ever!

Buccal facial massage is an intraoral massage technique that is performed by massaging the inside of your cheeks and lips. This lower face sculpting treatment softens smile lines, enhances facial contour and releases muscle tension in
the face.
