The sky’s the limit when your florist is so passionate about the process that it becomes a concierge-level experience.

By nurturing connection and communication with clients, Roxanne Marsh, the founder of Branches and Blooms Floral Design, conveys what’s in couples’ hearts.

“You find all sorts of inspiration from taking the time to talk with your clients,” she said. “I let my clients know what’s trending, but I remind them that it is their wedding, so let’s take a breath and let's create you!”

By being an attentive and engaged listener, she can confidently guide and educate you, and together, create the vision you imagine for your event. Pinterest pics may look great, she cautions, but often these bouquets are made from flowers with short lifespans that are not realistic for your wedding day.

“Through my work with florals, I quench my desire to create beautiful things and, at the same time, be of service to others.  For me, floral artistry has filled many areas of my being with satisfaction, joy, and fulfillment, that other avenues have not.”

An Ethereal Aesthetic

By layering graceful petals with towering stems and draping lush blooms with dazzling color, Roxanne creates stunningly expressive designs with timeless allure.

Her training came naturally from a childhood spent in nature. Pushing the boundaries foraging on long walks in the woods, Roxanne planted the seeds for stemming out from the ordinary when faced with challenges. For instance, when one lovely couple wanted rose petals thrown down the aisle, but the venue wouldn’t allow it, Roxanne instead tossed the petals on the reception tables (along with some scratch off lottery tickets!) for guests.

Helping her father, Thomas, tend his prized tomato plants gave Roxanne the know-how to care for her own lush cutting garden, which includes an abundance of 90+ Peony bushes exuding opulence with their eye-catching hues. If time allows, she’ll also grow special blooms there just for the bride!

Roxanne also enjoys using the cheerful Helebores, attractive Anenomes, the multi-layered Ranunculous, and the conical-shaped Stock flowers (with their uniquely sweet, peppery-clove aroma) in her designs. Adding to this breathtaking array are vines, like Clematis and Jasmine. By using non-florals, like grasses, seed pods, berries, and branches, these bouquets, boutonnieres, ceremony, and reception arrangements define the essence of individuality.

Paired with a collection of vessels, votives, custom arbors and pedestals (made with the help of her talented and devoted husband, Glen) available to rent for any occasion, including grand opening celebrations, bridal showers, birthdays, anniversaries, and more, Branches and Blooms Floral Design creates magical moments sparkling with divine beauty.

Tips from the Pro!

There are numerous things couples can do to help expand their floral budget, said Roxanne, the exquisite artist behind Branches and Blooms Floral Design.

• Try not to plan your special day during a holiday.  Prices of flowers always go up during holidays.

• Spend your floral budget on what is important to you as a couple while also keeping in mind where your guests will be spending the majority of their time, like at the dinner reception, and focus your attention on adorning those areas first.

• Repurpose the ceremony flowers, if possible, to other areas, to further your enjoyment of them.

Unveiling the Latest Trend: Peach Paradise

The radiant Pantone color of the year is Peach Fuzz. “I do love peach - both the color and the fruit!  There’s nothing like a slice of peach pie and a good cup of coffee. My dog, Epic, would strongly agree with me, especially the peach pie part!” said Roxanne, owner of Branches and Blooms Floral Design.

In addition to the fruit trees, whose blossoming branches she uses in her designs, Roxanne grows giant creamy pink Café Au Lait dahlias in her backyard garden.

Brides looking to create subtly sensational arrangements can also choose from copious peach roses; from the old-world glamour of the Garden Juliet, to the delicate beauty of the Peachy Pink Shimmer, she said. Add coral and reddish pink florals to enhance the look, then throw in some contrasting chartreuse greenery, or the towering Blue Delphinium for impact so instant, it’s electric!
