Our Story...

Zach & I both grew up in Rotterdam. Zach knew of my father, Mark, through work and business. Zach knew Mark had a son, Mark Jr., but never knew he had two daughters as well.

Typical of small-town life… while just a kid, Zach remembers seeing my dad working on a house in his neighborhood – digging and doing excavating work.

Fast forward many years later - when my hairdresser mentions this guy. She and her husband are friends with him and want us to meet. Around that same time, my cousin Chris -and this guy Zach- were close friends. One night my cousin Chris texted my sister and I to stop by the house. I was so not up for going out as I was in bed already, but sure enough my sister dragged me out of bed. Long story short, he knew my cousin and uncle and met me at the perfect time.

After dating a little over a year, he proposed at my parents’ beach at their camp on Sacandaga Lake, complete with scattered rose petals and fireworks -of course! The night was just so perfect, and the sunset was gorgeous. My sister and friend Jess helped him set everything up before we got there and we celebrated that night.

Having our own wedding venue was exactly what we dreamed of. Zach, family, and close friends spent all spring and summer building us the venue for our special day. It was unique and fit us perfectly. We couldn’t have been happier with how everything turned out. Everything was perfect, not a thing went wrong. We can't thank our parents enough for everything they did to make our day so special and for the love and support from our friends and family. We are so thankful to all our wedding vendors that helped make the day what it was. We will forever cherish our special day!
