Every photography session that Rafael Gonzalez books is shot with an eye towards the future. As an album-first wedding and portrait photographer, Raf adopts a refined approach, showcasing your special day while preserving the meaning behind each image.

Growing up within the Kosinski Photography family, Raf was exposed to a constantly shifting technological landscape. Whether they were using a 1900’s Brownie camera, recording on Super 8 film, or with a VHS camcorder, generations of this family continued to take the same timeless approach.

“Digital is fun, and safe, but having a physical photo album in your hands is special,” said Raf. “Today’s photos archive better than old negatives once did, so when you look at a picture, you can put it in the context of an era.”

Launching his career as a landscape and scenery photographer, Raf developed a painterly approach that today, gives his portraiture a fine art feel. His photos are flooded with light, imbuing them with an ethereal beauty that seems to transcend time and space.

Although he’s creating momentous images that speak to multiple generations, Raf’s positive, friendly nature makes him easy to work with. “When someone hires a wedding vendor, they’re often thinking of the final product, but I also want them to have an experience. For me, how they feel is the main point,” he said.

Kosinski Photography doesn’t just take pictures however, they create keepsakes.

“Having a consistent style is very important in an album because you need to be able to marry the photos taken in the beginning to those taken later in the day,” said Raf.
