Our Story...

Dylan and I went to high school together, and reconnected in college home on winter break. We ran into each other out one night and started seeing each other. I started my last semester at college in Saratoga, and he would come visit me for coffee and dinner dates. Eight years, two long-distance summers in Alaska, three cats and two apartments later, he proposed at my favorite place, our family camp on Lake George. He tied the engagement ring, a family heirloom, to a bobber (he's a fisherman), and asked me to marry him in the middle of the lake while we swam. Although he had been planning it for months, I was completely surprised! Some of our friends and family surprised us later on in the day with an impromptu engagement celebration on the dock. 

Two years later, we got married at the Queensbury Hotel. When planning, it was important for us to have the hometown feel, since we're both from Glens Falls. We also wanted a venue where our guests could stay. The Queensbury Hotel was not only the logical choice, but the perfect choice, with its historic touches and hometown charm. Planning was a breeze, and the team at the Queensbury was so accommodating and helpful every step of the way. For weeks after the wedding, guests and family were raving about the food! All of our vendors were great to work with. It was the best day!

Advice to pass along...  

Don't worry about the small details--when it's all happening you're focused on your partner and loved ones around you. Enjoy every moment because it goes by so fast!

Rehearsal Dinner: Doc's Restaurant

We had an amazing live painter, Hannah Williams, who captured a scene during the ceremony. She is so talented and created a beautiful original piece of artwork!
