Natalie and Bethel met one warm Halloween night in Washington, DC (Bethel was a marathon runner, and Natalie was a ballerina). Both living in DC at the time, they steadily got to know each other's friends and families, and after getting snowed in together during a DC "snowmageddan" they knew this was something special. Bethel proposed in the summer of 2018 during a trip to Indonesia and pulled out all the stops, including a private dinner on the beach surrounded by rose petals.
They quickly decided that Saratoga Springs, close to where Natalie grew up, was the perfect place to welcome friends and family who would be traveling from all over to help celebrate (from up and down the east coast, to CA, the UK, and Ethiopia). They envisioned a weekend filled with fun, great food, and beautiful scenery and Saratoga delivered even more than they could have dreamed of!
After postponing three times due to COVID-19, they were finally able to welcome guests with a kick-off party at Harvey’s in August of 2021. They expanded the traditional rehearsal dinner to include all traveling guests and had a wonderful dinner on the Inn at Saratoga's patio. Finally, they tied the knot in the Church of St. Peter's with a reception at the Canfield Casino
Feeling so grateful and lucky to have been able to celebrate with family and friends from near and far… they simply cannot thank all their vendors enough for making their day truly special!
