Although both our families are from the Westchester area, I grew up in Saratoga. Andrew grew up in Westchester and after he graduated from college, he moved upstate full time. It was during that summer we met, and even though I was still in college for two more years, our relationship was worth the long distance.

Once I graduated from college, Andrew and I moved to New York City. Although most people end up moving every year in NYC, we somehow managed to find an apartment we loved, and never left. After 7 years of dating, and 5 years in the city, Andrew proposed in Congress Park the day after Christmas. I had always had the dream of being proposed to during my favorite time of year, (between Thanksgiving and Christmas) and he did not disappoint!

Even though we had originally planned our wedding for September 2020, the pandemic had other plans for us. We moved our wedding to Summer 2021, moved out of the city, purchased our first home, and crossed our fingers 2021 would be the year we got married. Lucky for us, it was! Our wedding was more perfect than I ever could have imagined. From the decor to the food, to the dancing, everything was better than expected, but I think the most special part about the day was seeing the joy all our friends and family had in being able to celebrate with us. Waiting that extra year was well worth the wait, and we cannot wait for what the future has in store for us!

Special Touches... Making sure the guests had a great experience from the moment they entered our wedding was top priority to us. From handing a glass of champagne as they entered, to having their name cards at their seat when they sat down, ensured our guests really remembered our wedding. Plus an open bar and a great DJ never hurts :)

Advice to Pass Along... Take in every moment! The day goes so fast, so take a few moments throughout the day to soak everything in and remember the special moments.
